It’s been a while since I’ve posted on Tumblr. Today I had the realization that I truly deserve better. I realized that people in my life need me a lot more than I need them. It gets exhausting when you do everything in your ability to help them but it isn’t reciprocated. For example, my friend and I were supposed to print our take home exams together and she made me print hers because she was with her toxic boyfriend. The thing is, every time you print at school, you have to pay. So I had to use my own money for her exam. I also wrote her boyfriend’s essay for him in exchange for a box of ramen and she ate a lot from it. I spent hours writing the paper just for most of it to be taken by her. I started thinking about things today and I realized that she probably wouldn’t do half the shit I do for her. This isn’t to say that this post only pertains to one person — it’s for a number of people in my life who use me for their own advantage. It’s easy to say to drop people in your life and find people who actually care. It’s different when you actually try to find people because not everyone is the same. Not everyone has good intentions. I’m just not going to try anymore with anyone and just let things run its course. What will be mine, will come when it’s time.
